Custom branding

For org admins — logo and color customization.

Organizations on a paid org plan can put their own brand on the Ostrol interface that their members use. This is purely cosmetic — the underlying engine, billing, and account features are unchanged — but it makes the product feel like part of your school or company.

Organization space

Each organization uses the main Ostrol site at ostrol.com. Members open their organization tools from /org after signing in; Ostrol no longer sends users to organization-specific subdomains.

If you need a custom domain you own (like math.lincoln.edu), email support@ostrol.com — that's available on the Enterprise tier and requires a short DNS setup.

Logo

Upload a logo from /org/branding.

  • Format: SVG preferred. PNG is fine but make it transparent.
  • Size: at least 256 × 256 px. We auto-scale.
  • Background: transparent. We display it on both light and dark backgrounds, so a solid background looks awkward.

The logo replaces the default Ostrol wordmark in the top nav and on share pages, PDFs, and emails.

Color

Pick a single accent color — it's used for primary buttons, links, and progress bars. The rest of the palette stays neutral so contrast and accessibility remain solid no matter what color you pick.

We also auto-check contrast against WCAG AA: if your color is too light against white text, we warn you and suggest a darker variant.

What stays the same

For consistency we never let you change the verification badge colors (described in Reading the verification badge), the math typesetting, or the layout structure. These are part of the product identity.

Removing branding

Clear any field in /org/branding and the default Ostrol look returns immediately. No data is lost; you can re-enable any time.
